North Ridgeville, Ohio, The North Ridgeville Corn Festival is NOW accepting registrations for the 2019 Grande Parade. We Have CHANGED OUR PARADE ROUTE! We will start and end the Parade on the Campus of the New North Ridgeville Academic Center located at 34620 Bainbridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039Spectators can park at the Academic Center for the Grade Parade before 1:30 pm Sunday the 11th. You’ll find plenty of room to set up along the Grande Parade Route on Ranger way and Bainbridge Roads. Trophies Awarded and Visiting Royalty Presented after the Grande Parade, Starting at 4:30 pm at the Festival Grounds on the Main Stage in front of the Lake at South Central Park.

Registration: 2019 Grande Parade registration is per UNIT entered and is free for non-political units and one unit each for An Elected Official or a POLITICAL PARTY AS A GROUP; A Political Unit (see definition below) registration fee is $25.

Trophies

Awarded based on the judges’ decisions in the following categories: Best of Parade; Mayor’s Trophy (Residents Only); Great Corn Award (Visitors Only); Chamber of Commerce Business Trophy (N.R. Businesses Only) 1st and 2nd place for Senior Corps, Junior Corps, and Juvenile Corps; Color Guard; Bands; Antique Vehicle; Novelty Unit; Commercial Unit; Noncommercial Float; and Animal Unit. PARADE TROPHIES AWARDED AFTER THE PARADE, AT 4:30 PM, AT THE ENTERTAINMENT STAGE ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS.

Registration

Parade registration is per UNIT entered and is free for non-political units; Political Unit Registration fee is $25.

Definitions

A Unit is a SINGLE Registration made by an organization, group, club, or individual. It can consist of any combination of motorized or nonmotorized vehicles, floats, trailers, performers, and walkers, however, cannot exceed 4 Vehicles.

A Political Unit is a SINGLE Registration made by an organization, group, committee or individual who is seeking election or re-election to an office for any elected office.

An Elected Official Unit is A SINGLE CURRENT OFFICE HOLDER NOT RUNNING FOR RE-ELECTION OR AN ENTRY FOR A POLITICAL PARTY AS A GROUP.

Rules

Candy and Handouts are permitted. They MUST be HANDED to spectators. They CAN NOT be THROWN OR TOSSED.

Political Unit RegistrationWHEN YOU COMPLETE AN ON-LINE APPLICATION, please SEND your Unit Registration CHECK for $25 made Payable to North Ridgeville Corn Festival by US MAIL to P.O. Box 39103, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039 and note your Organization Name used at Registration.

An Elected Official and Each Political Party can Register 1 Unit for free

If you have a unique or special Unit for Registration, you MUST contact Mario Cipriano a MINIMUM of 2 WEEKS Before the Parade. We will make exceptions on a case by case basis that can include for example bicycles, miniature motorcycles, miniature cars, scooters, and other novelty units  – Exceptions are at the discretion of the Parade Chairman.

IMPORTANT  We cannot accommodate units with more than four vehicles. These include full-size cars, motorcycles, and motorhomes and other units deemed to be a safety hazard by the Parade Chairman. In the past, we have been able to make accommodations; however, with our new parade route, we cannot do so this year.

When you complete your registration you will receive an email to the address of the Chairman you used at registration. This is an automated email and is confirmation of your registration. If you do not receive your confirmation email please check your spam filter. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact the Parade Chairman at 440-328-7420.
